Friday, 16th August

9.00pm Deadline for ALL entries.  Exhibitor tickets will be printed by the committee on Saturday.

 

Sunday 18th August

08.30am – 10.45pm    Hall open for staging of exhibits. Please have your entry money ready. Pre-printed tickets with a unique exhibitor number                                                & class numbers will be given to each exhibitor.        

11.00am – 1.00pm       Hall closed to public whilst Judging takes place

2.30pm                          Show opens,  Teas, coffees & cakes available

 3.30pm                          Prize-giving, followed by Auction of produce & raffle

 5.00pm                          Close

Deadline for all entries is 9pm on Friday, 16th August.

 

There three options for submitting your entry form: 

  1. Complete a paper entry, photograph & email to info@altonsummershow.org
  2. Download the entry form & complete on line. Rename the file with your name & send to info@altonsummershow.org
  3. Complete a paper entry and deliver to the address on the form.

Emailed entries will receive an acknowledgement of receipt (if you don’t get one within 2 days, then get in touch – but please check your spam folder first).

Entry fees are payable at exhibit staging on Sunday 18th.  

 

LATE ENTRIES:

In exceptional circumstances, late entries may be accepted at the discretion of the committee. Please phone Hayley or Deborah.

 

 

Show Rules

 

  1. Completed entry forms must be returned to the organisers before 5pm on Friday 16th August 2024
  2. All exhibits to be staged in the Coronation Hall, between 8.30am-10.45am on Sunday 18th August. No exhibits will be accepted after 10.45am and may not be removed from the hall before 4.00pm after prize giving.
  3. Entry fee is £1.00 per section except for Children’s Section (classes G1-G6). Please note: You are very welcome to make several entries in a single class - the more the merrier – but only one of those entries will be awarded points or be considered for a prize.
  4. In each class, the correct number of flowers, vegetables etc must be shown
  5. No unauthorised persons to be in the hall whilst judging is in progress.
  6. No exhibitors’ names to be displayed until judges have made their decision.
  7. In classes A15, A16 & A17 and Class E10 the pot plant/chickens must have been in the care of the exhibitor for at least 3 months.
  8. Classes E1-E5 jars/bottles must be labelled with the flavour. No proprietary labels on pots or lids.
  9. The judges’ decision will be final.
  10. Any objections must be made in writing to the organisers by 3pm on the day of the Show.
